1. Through Email

You can close your Airtel Payments Bank account by emailing wecare@airtelbank.com. This email ID belongs to the customer care service of Airtel Payments Bank; when you send the request to close your account, you will get a response within 24 hours.

The Process of Sending an Email:

  • Open Gmail and Tap the Compose Button: Open the Gmail app on your phone or PC to delete your Airtel Payments Bank account. Below the Gmail app, you will see a compose button, and you have to click on the same button.
  • Write a Letter Explaining Why You Want to Close Your Account: After clicking the compose button, you must write the account closing mail. You will find a demo message format below. If you want, you can create the mail by copying it or writing it yourself.
  • Send Mail to wecare@airtelbank.com: After writing the account closure mail, you should send it to Airtel Payments Bank customer care at wecare@airtelbank.com.
  • Wait 24 hours Your Account will be Locked: After sending the email, Airtel Payments Bank customer service will reply to you within 24 hours, and they will ask you a few questions about why you want to delete your Airtel Payments Bank account. You must provide a valid reason, and they will close your Airtel Payment Bank account.

2. Through Calling Customer Care

To close your Airtel Payments Bank account, you can call the customer care number 400 or 8800688006. If you call from your Airtel number, it’s a toll-free number; otherwise, you will be charged. The customer service executive will process the request before inquiring about the reason for closing the account.

The customer service executive will ask you for your address and ID proof to process the request. They also want to know why you want to delete your account; otherwise, upon completion, your report will be closed within seven working days.

3. Through Visiting Airtel Payment Bank Point

Airtel had launched the Aadhaar-Enabled Payment System (AEPS) Banking Point to provide good service to the use of Airtel payment bank delete. You can close your account by visiting the nearest Airtel Banking Point, which offers digital banking services to all Airtel customers.

While visiting the Airtel Payments Bank banking point, carry your Aadhaar card, registered mobile number, and ID proof. You need to fill out an account closure form and wait for seven banking days, and your account will be deleted. Airtel will send you a confirmation message after closing your account.

Some Important Information

Before submitting the Airtel Payment Bank account closure request, you must remember some essential things:

  • Before closing the Airtel Payments Bank account, you must clear all your dues. If you don’t clear your due, you cannot complete the account.
